Introduction
Jordan is a country steeped in Biblical history, with its landscapes bearing the footprints of biblical figures. Christians, along with Muslims and Jews, view Jordan as a land of spiritual significance. Despite its small Christian population, Jordan’s rich heritage makes it a crossroads of Holy Lands.
With a limited oil reserve, the nation relies on tourism and foreign aid to sustain its economy. Jordan has been a constitutional monarchy since 1952, grappling with economic challenges like high unemployment and poverty.
Religious freedom is theoretically allowed, but social pressures often lead new Christians to emigrate, reducing the witness of the Gospel. Media ministries are making strides, particularly through Christian satellite TV and radio broadcasts, in sharing the Good News and fostering meaningful relationships with the unreached population.
